Graduation Requirements

To graduate, candidates for the Doctor of Pharmacy degree must:

  1. Complete all required didactic and experiential coursework with a passing grade as established by policies of the Curriculum and Educational Policy Committee.
  2. Complete all required didactic and experiential Interprofessional coursework with a passing grade as established by policies of the Interprofessional Education Classroom Committee.
  3. Meet or exceed all graduation requirements as judged by the Subcommittee on Student Progress.
  4. Be recommended for the degree to the Faculty Council.
  5. Show evidence of possessing satisfactory professional qualifications.
  6. Register and complete no fewer than 12 quarters.
  7. Pay all fees and financial obligations to the University.
  8. Fulfill the general regulations for granting degrees of the University of California.
  9. Complete the requirements of the Doctor of Pharmacy degree within 4 years of the date he/she/they entered as a first-year student, excluding approved leaves of absence.
  10. Complete all required didactic and experiential Interprofessional coursework with a passing grade as established by policies of the Program for Interprofessional Practice and Education: PIPE

The requirements for graduation, including policies and specific courses, are subject to periodic review and may be changed from time to time as determined by the faculty of the School.
