Pharmacy students study ethics of conscience clauses

The ethical issues behind a pharmacist's personal decision to dispense or not dispense emergency contraceptives and other drugs is explored by doctor of pharmacy students at the School of Pharmacy, University of California, San Francisco, in a required course on pharmacy law and ethics. Course coordinator and Assistant Clinical Professor Lorie Rice, MPH discusses the course, its content, and its relevance to today's conscience clause issues in an interview on National Public Radio on April 23, 2005.
