UCSF PharmD program ranked among the nation’s best

The UCSF School of Pharmacy’s doctor of pharmacy (PharmD) program is among the top-ranked programs in the 2017 U.S. News and World Report survey of accredited PharmD programs released on March 15, 2016.

The UCSF program was ranked third. “This means our PharmD program is perceived by academic peers as a national leader among a strong group of sister programs,” said B. Joseph Guglielmo, PharmD, dean of the UCSF School of Pharmacy. “That perception by others underscores what we know so well: we have an exceptional, dynamic PharmD program, and outstanding students and faculty.”

UCSF’s PharmD program shared its ranking with the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and the University of Texas at Austin. Pharmacy schools were ranked based solely on the results of peer assessment surveys sent to deans, other administrators, and/or faculty at accredited PharmD degree programs.
