Koda-Kimble Receives Rho Chi Award

Mary Anne Koda-Kimble, PharmD, dean of the UCSF School of Pharmacy, is the 2004 recipient of the Rho Chi Society Lecture Award. The award was presented March 28, 2004 in Seattle, Washington, USA, during the annual meeting of the American Pharmacists Association. The award recognizes scholars from the arts, letters, or sciences who have significantly advanced the health professions.

Leslie Z. Benet Named Thomson ISI Highly Cited Researcher

Leslie Z. Benet, PhD, was named a Thomson ISI Highly Cited Researcher in December 2003. The designation means that Benet's research publications on pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics have been extensively cited by other scientists in their publications. Citation is an important way to measure influence in science through time.

Winter Named Pharmacist of the Year

Michael Winter, PharmD, professor of clinical pharmacy, School of Pharmacy, University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is the California Society of Health-System Pharmacists (CSHP) 2003 Pharmacist of the Year. The award, one of CSHP's highest honors, will be presented on October 24, 2003 during the society's annual meeting in Sacramento, California.

Kuntz Receives Volwiler Award

Dean Honored with Practice Excellence Award
